Having created paintings of historic homes in every state across the USA, this new series highlights historic industrial buildings, which sadly are disappearing across the nation. The towering smokestacks of the coal burning Eckert Power Station on the Grand River can be seen for miles. The station was retired from service in 2021. The Lansing Sugar Factory was built in north Lansing in 1924 and operated until 1954. Once no longer in use, it regrettably became another victim of the wrecking ball.
