My artistic attraction to architecture is that architecture is about people. Perhaps that's why we like to live in walkable urban areas and that is where I usually have my studio as well.Recently I asked myself the question, "What makes city scenes so interesting to draw and paint? My answer: "The life -- human and otherwise -- that emanates from every nook and cranny of the city." From that point I started to look a lot closer. As a result I found so many more forms of life, from dogs with their walkers, mothers with strollers, bird-prowling cats, bird-baths and bird houses, trees and flowers in all seasons, and even a "Valentine moment" I spotted one day. These are the very elements I have captured in my new Life in the City Collection of paintings. I hope you enjoy them.
