I created this watercolor country scene in the winter from my trips to the countryside over the years and the sketches and watercolor paintings I have recorded in my art journal. I have always been captivated by the simple country watercolor art of artists from the 18th and 19th centuries as they were able to capture nature using both with pen and watercolor so expertly. This winter themed country scene depicts the peace and serenity of the snow with a golden glow from the setting sun. .
